Ngai Tahu
A 2002 dance graduate of Unitec School of Performing and Screen Arts, Cathy has danced steadily since graduating with groups such as Vacuum Pact, Vospertron, Ivy Granite Productions and Gaby New. Cathy continues to choreograph, dance and produce her own productions - a solo in Scrtach and Sniff (2004), Stitching Sandcastles in 2005 and Filling in the Spaces in 2006.
Cathy has performed with Atamira Dance Collective since 2004.
Cathy is currently lecturing in dance at Whitireia Polytechnic, Porirua. She has also been an artist in residence at Oceania Centre, University of South Pacific in Fiji , and late in 2006 Cathy co-developed and co-facilitated a new dance project, Oceania Dance Project, aimed at developing contemporary dance practices and infrastructure in the Pacific region, subsequently piloted successfully in Apia, Samoa.
